First time decorating my own space. I have this "grey turquoise" couch and I'm not sure if this rug will look bad with it because of "too much" color, esp the same color. I ideally wanted something a little more inverted when it came to the colors (like white with some turquoise), but there arent a lot that I can find that have this same color and that I actually like, so yeah I want to get some more opinions on this if possible :>

Yes.
I had the same concern about it feeling heavy, but looking at it again, I actually think it’s a great choice. The white pattern in the rug really lightens it up, so it doesn’t feel like too much turquoise next to the couch.
Since they’re in the same color family, it looks more coordinated than overwhelming. I’d keep it and just add a few neutral accents to balance it out. Definitely feels like the best option here.

Beautiful! I always like to match the least dominant color in a rug and you did that here. Very nice choice.
Love the rug. People use paint to color drench rooms why can’t you color drench with a rug and couch. Try it out.
