– [ ] I have long been a fan of Anne Sophie Dubois. This is the 2023 vintage. Hand picked grapes, whole cluster fermentation with natural yeast and 13 months in 228L neutral oak.

– [ ] This is a lovely expression of Fleurie and a hell of wine for the price! Garnet color, the nose is a beautiful perfume of flower petals, a hint of spiciness, and tree bark. It’s complex and ethereal in a way that peaks your curiosity for what’s to come. One of those wines where you can’t wait for the first sip. The palate is stunning. Ripe red fruits, bruised cherry, licorice, white pepper with a light tannic grip balanced by a really pleasant acidity. I sense the slightest bit of what I would call “funk” that speaks to the low intervention winemaking. There is a lovely earthiness that carries through a long finish. It is young but drinking quite well. I’d be interested to see how this develops over the next 2-5 years.
