Nicely mature claret. Primary fruit on the wane and tertiary aromas (leather) more present, but tannins still present and grippy.
A Christmas present from my wife the first year we were together (after about 6 weeks!), opened to celebrate Valentine's Day (married with two little daughters) with a nice sous vide tomahawk.
Rieussec 2007 and Yquem 1985 both presented a bit VA at first (Yquem opened at Xmas, R today) but this went with time and both were very enjoyable with the foie gras torchon.The Rieussec really opened up with time and gave aromas of apricots. Yquem has already been posted about back in December. Yquem is my birth year, Rieussec is my son's.
