Got a bunch of wine for cheap from a restaurant around Christmas and had a couple good ones. This Rioja is not one of them. Cork exploded so lots of debris in there. And the color. I’ve not had wine this old before, but is it normal to have this off color?
Tasting I’m pretty bad at but I get the spicy notes and vanilla from the barrel. Also a very strong cleaner note at the end.
Tldr. Ten year old Crianza is probably not gonna be great.
