First image is the current room as-is. Second image is AI generated concept of what I'm thinking of doing (adding trim all the way around about 1/3 up the wall with color on bottom). The alternatives would be to go full color on walls or one accent wall in the color.
Reasoning: majority of the walls being whiteish color would help keep it feeling brighter (not a ton of natural light). If kids want to change color it's way less paint to just change the bottom color. Adds some interesting color without committing to painting the whole room that color. Concerns: is this a dated and cheap looking concept (as opposed to going full wainscotting or something)? Is it dumb to do "chair rail" in a bedroom? All opinions welcome.
