Hi, I need your help deciding whether to keep this piece of furniture or not. How distasteful/old fashioned (in a bad way) do you find this faux-rattan design? Close up on the rattan on the second picture.
It looks good from afar but as soon as you get close to it, the plastic look is just really obvious. I personally usually hate plastic imitations of vegetation (fake plants, flowers etc). When I ordered this piece of furniture the imitation seemed more realistic… I don't know.
How would you rate it in a "bad taste" scale of 1-10?

Im gonna be honest, as there is literally 0 reason to sugarcoat this, it does look ugly, 3/10. Specially those unalligned doors with one being more inside.
Would it be me, I would repurpose this or straight up throw it away & get a new console.
it’s honestly hard to rate this because I think in photos, plastic tends to look better than IRL. Personally I would go for the real deal. Faux rattan just gives me Walmart vibes honestly… like a nice display set up there with plastic plants etc, but Walmart nonetheless
I like your TV stand, I don’t see any reason to change it, except if you want more storage.
Honestly it doesn’t look good from afar either (at least as far as in the first photo)
