Pretty color of dark ruby, with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose of red and black fruits with wood, earth, tobacco and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, earth and herbs.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Merlot from Pomerol. Complex and interesting. Spicy, elegant and fruit forward.
Drinking very nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years. I had the 2016 vintage last year and it was even better. Would be nice to revisit it in a few years.
Nicely balanced and easy drinking. Good by itself or with food.
A blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 12 months in (50% new) French oak barrels.
