My living room gets a ton of natural light and it feels washed out. I was thinking about painting the room or just the fireplace wall with a slightly darker neutral(accessible or balanced beige). Should I do just the fireplace wall or the whole room? the issue is that it’s more of an open concept, so I don’t want it to look strange where the walls meet the other rooms. Opinions?
I will be putting some frames on the right wall behind the chairs. Thank you!

I was about to suggest you to paint but then i read you just want a different beige :C
I think with an open concept, there needs to be flow. Painting one room or wall , chops that up. If you want to add a bit of depth, consider bolder throw pillows, rug, or metal accents. **DO NOT PAINT THE FIREPLACE** you can change the fireplace grate, add some tall metal candlesticks to your mantle, or remove one of the flanking pieces of furniture with a large plant, like a fiddle leaf or palm. You can also add some taller lamps on those pieces. Everything is the same size, there is no interest.
I would just paint the wall on either side of the fireplace, using the same dark teal color of the sideboard cabinets.
I love that painting
Thank you for not putting a tv above the fireplace
Side note: I love your rug. And your fur children.
