This is the primary bedroom. The rug is a little more colorful than shown in the photo but I am so sick of the mauve blanket and beige.

I do love the headboard but what bedding or cheap fixes could I add/replace to change this up and add a little masculinity?

We’re renting btw. (Bassinet will be moved soon btw!)

Would love any AI images too!

Just add blue accent pillows and art. You’ll be all set. I love your room!!!!

Add colorful wide canvas artwork over your bed. Pull the colors from the artwork to your accessories and pillows.

  3. Find a colorful rug you Love, and pick color from rug to add accent color to room!! Wall art will help add some color to the room!!!

You have a wonderful room. You just need pops of color.

Change the pillows, get a new blanket. Possibly a new curtain and a new rug. Maybe some artwork over the bed. Just make sure you have one color that runs consistently through all those items, and it’ll look gorgeous!

  5. Adding sage green would look beautiful. Maybe a fluffy comforter and pillows.

Quick fixes – anything with pattern and color for the bed and pillows – the patterns could be simple and geometric and still modern. Could use fabrics and make covers for those bed pillows if you have a sewing machine or can hand sew. Swap out the leaning lamp for something more like the one at right, maybe change the shades to slightly narrower diameter ones so they aren’t looking like they will fall over on their own with the slightest touch.

Maybe go thrifting for darker tone wood nightstands and possibly art for the walls that give the masculine aesthetic you’re wanting. Doesn’t have to be rustic or leather or stereotypically masculine, but possibly just deep earthy versions of color and texture. You could put up a darker solid drape over the sheers on the window.

If you can paint in your lease/rent agreement you could do the wall behind headboard in accent color that to you says masculine.

Maybe consider a rug with a larger pattern and deeper colors – see if you can find one thrifted that fits your idea of masculine colors and patterns.
