Hello everyone 👋 appreciate some advice/thoughts please!

I’m having flooring replaced at home, and have gone for a grey oak effect vinyl floor (too late to change this now!). See pictures 1 and 2 for the floors I’ll be fitting.

I’m now looking to paint my skirting boards/baseboard/trim and not sure what colour to go for. I’m thinking either:

– Go for contrast: darker colours (natural slate, brave ground paint colours in pictures)

– Go for gradient: warmer colours (graige/grey-beige) to blend the grey floors with white/beige coloured walls

Appreciate your thoughts, thank you!

For interior walls, I’m planning to paint most of them white/beige toned (something warm), with a feature wall in the living room – thinking green/blue, teal colours atm.

Sorry forgot to add – the room in the first picture is not actually mine! Took it from the flooring company’s website. My baseboards are smaller (about 2.8in/70mm).
