Our living room has a pretty big corner that has a step up and is completely brick. It once house a wood stove I assume. We do not want to put an electric heater or wood stove in this area in our current season of life (having a small child in the house). Any suggestions on how to rework the space and what to put there? Would love to see photos of ideas to help me visualize. The rest of the living room is pictured for reference.

I’m gonna try to be as nice as a can. Nothing you own seems to be something you take pride in. You posted a very messy house on the internet for everyone to see. The brick area as a TV area is fine but you need to find some photos online of rooms with brick and wood paneling and see if you can muster some inspiration. Right now I don’t even know where to start because nothing really goes with anything else, it’s dark with the shades drawn, and you have no real indication of what you like or dislike in your own home.
