Dinner with friends, went to Junoon in NYC! Brought the CdP with us and bought the Bordeaux from their pretty extensive wine list. Continue to believe red wine pairs incredibly well with Indian food and this was another illustration of that!
2015 Mas de Boislauzon Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Tinot
Decanted and drank over two hours.
Enjoyed this with the Restaurant Week menu at Junoon in NYC.
The decanting helped but I didn't find this too tight. Quite approachable, although this will definitely age nicely.
Dark cherry, blackberry, plums, clove, black pepper, some elaichi (cardamom).
Solid acidity and tannins, everything was quite balanced.
Went well with our food, but especially paneer dishes.
92 points.
2019 Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste Lacoste Borie
Decanted and drank over an hour.
Pretty decent QPR if you're craving some Pauillac.
Dark cherry, dark plum, blackberry notes with some slight graphite as well.
Not the most complex Bordeaux, but enjoyable and didn't overpower the Indian food at Junoon.
89 points.

Lacoste Borie is the second wine of the chateau, so strictly speaking should not include the full name of the chateau, although CellarTracker identifies it like that, which I think is confusing.
