To paint the ceiling or no?

I'm updating my home office and going for a dark, moody rustic modern vibe. We're keeping the existing wood paneling and are already planning to rip out the carpet and do a stained concrete finish throughout the basement (similar to pic 1). Questions:

• Do I paint the ceiling or leave it white (pic 3 vs 4)?
• Black or dark brown eames chair or something else entirely?
• Ceiling light recommendations?
• Anything else I should change?

Note: I'm currently refinishing the butcher block top for my desk (so ignore the temporary old hollow core door being used for now), and have this office chair on order.
