Hey all,

I'm a winemaker in South Australia (Adelaide Hills & Riverland) specialising in Mediterranean varieties — mainly Fiano, Zibibbo and Gewürztraminer – called Unico Zelo (in case you've heard of us) – we're also the crew behind the Bottle Shock YouTube Channel.

This vintage I've decided to film the whole thing. Not a polished brand exercise — more like a real-time diary of what harvest actually involves when you're a small producer. The long drives between vineyards, the sampling, the judgment calls on when to pick, the stuff that doesn't make it onto back labels.

We'll bare all in these episodes – every little detail – our decision-making process, what we do when things go wrong, little tips and tricks that you could only learn by travelling the world, cellarhanding.

You Can View The First Episode Here

First Episode covers a 300km day across three regions sampling fruit and trying to figure out if we're days or weeks away from picking. There's also a mysterious watermelon, some accidental chilli harvesting, and a servo curry that genuinely rattled me.

Happy to answer any questions about harvest, Fiano, or making wine with Mediterranean varieties in Australia. Would love to know if anyone else here follows the winemaking process side of things — always curious what people actually want to know more about.

I'll be getting episodes out weekly – we've got a bit of a crack editing crew – so what you see when the episodes drop is literally what happened the 7 days prior!
