I need a dresser and nightstand but can’t decide on the finish.

The wood in the bathroom is very dark cool toned brown-black which I feel the furniture should also reflect (my brain cannot comprehend how to mix and match).

Everything in this house is very cohesive (previous owner). There’s a 3 color paint palette using muted blues throughout the entire house. The floors are a walnut color and the fireplace mantle is the same almost black wood from the master bath.

In torn between bedroom furniture in black, a warmer espresso, or a walnut color like the floors. (Doesn’t help that these colors don’t seem to be popular or have as many options).

Also the bed frame has to stay unfortunately. It drives me crazy that it’s warmer beige and the curtains are grey. Any way to wed these too undertones?

Thanks!

Swap the curtains for much longer ones, they are too short. Any color goes with your bed, so buy the color that you like the most and would most likely compliment your next bed.

Ignore all the finishes you can’t see from inside this room. Wood floor and fireplace and bathroom don’t matter.

The room already feels kind of heavy. I’d go with white painted nightstands and dresser, personally. It would look great with the blue walls. You can also repaint those walls! Don’t be too fixated on consistency.

Once you get the nightstands, you can find a pair of nice tall lamps to out on them, and your room will really come together.

Make sure your nightstands are appropriately sized. They should be about the same height as the top of the mattress and you have plenty of room for wide ones.
