This was a lot lighter on the palate than I expected for a California Cab and honestly drank more like a Right Bank Bordeaux, which made it really enjoyable. The tannins are soft and well integrated, but there’s still a good amount of them giving the wine structure, helped along by solid acidity.

Flavors lean more toward red fruit — raspberries and cherries — with a nice minty note coming through. Overall it’s a pretty elegant wine, not big or heavy at all. If this showed up blind, I think a lot of people would struggle to call it a pure California Cabernet.
