I purchased these custom curtains on Etsy, and a few weeks later I purchased the rug on Amazon. The rug looked more muted online than it does in real life. Can these two patterns work together, or should I move one of them to another room? Please excuse the messy table, this room is a work in progress.

I had the same problem. I moved my curtains to my bedroom, I love them there, and I bought solid curtains for my living rm.
I like the rug better than the curtains with the sofa. I would move the curtains to another room if you can.
