Of course you can have a bathmat,just turn it longways not side ways,and plenty of companies make a smaller more narrow size,alot of people put a mat in front of the h e toilet

I have a very similar layout. I just bought a longer bath mat and turned it sideways. Works way better than I would have thought, I don’t even think about it anymore. It’s still left enough room for a squatypoty.

Perhaps a bath mat that is smaller than usual? I was able to find one in a local store but depending on where you are Amazon may have some options!

Bath mats can make a bathroom feel cheap. look into a ruggable type rug in there. You’ll be shocked at how much it elevates your space. And since it’s a bathroom and smaller rug, you can still wash it if it’s washer safe
