I moved into my grandparents’ very “grandma core” house. I want to keep a painting and grandfather clock with sentimental value both in a walnut tone. I also need to keep a light paint on the walls (leaning toward a cream color, but open to suggestions) due to the small space and covered porch reducing natural light. we also plan to install wood flooring and redo the kitchen cabinets.

We currently have just about every shade of wood in this house and I have no idea how to tell what goes together. I need help with a pallet for this space before I start making big purchases. We are replacing the blue recliners with a sectional (see floor plan photos), and I’m willing to re-stain or replace the rest of the wood tones but we do want wood flooring and accent pieces.

Any suggestions for a pallet that works for this space, including multiple wood tones?

Any other advice for making this tiny space work?
Thank you in advance for any advice!

Side note: the long wall is 22’10” (the 15’ on the right wall includes the 3’ footpath while the left wall includes that 3’ in the kitchen hence why the sides are labeled differently)
