I might rearrange the gym stuff to the open area with the white table in it currently, but I'll probably be keeping the rest of it the same. I've been wanting to do the spray paint thing on the ceiling for a while, so I'll probably go that route. I'm not opposed to changing out the decor, either. The big thing I'm having trouble with is figuring out what color to paint the walls, which will help me figure out what color to paint the ceiling and which decor to switch out. Any ideas? The basement is primarily used for relaxing, watching sports, and working out. The drywall is unfortunately perlite and I really don't feel like switching it all out. I was hoping to knock this project out in a couple of days and not several weekends haha. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’d choose something bright maybe a cream or beige. Nothing with a yellow undertone as your walls look yellow.
You might also want to change the lighting to something warmer
Buy a large piece of art for the space that sets the vibe/style & color scheme.
Use the colors from the art for the walls, curtains, rugs, pillows, blankets etc.
