I just purchased my first home in November and I’m in the process of renovating as it really needs updating. It was built in the 80s but last updated in maybe the early 90s. I loved the layout and location of the home – and the windows! -and figured I could always change what I didn’t like.
One of the things I didn’t like were the bathrooms, including the pattern on the bathroom walls. Both bathrooms have this pattern on the walls, which I think is absolutely hideous. My boyfriend, who lives with me (but who didn’t purchase the house), thinks it could be improved by painting the walls a darker color and the pattern wouldn’t be so prominent. I’m not so sure.
Ideas?

Unless you have a lot of natural light in the bathroom, never paint the walls dark cause it’ll feel small. I would lightly sand some of that wall texture down and paint it a more earthy tone. My walls are similar and I love the texture/look.
