Hi all, I recently purchased a home that has a lot of wood paneling. The pictures make it appear brighter than it is.
The home is a rental property and I’m worried it’s too dark for people.
I’m also concerned the floors don’t quite match the tone of the paneling.
I’d loved to be convinced to keep the paneling – or not! The beautiful wood work door frame cornice in the last photo is definitely staying!

I like it, but I can see why other people (renters) wouldn’t be fans. Is it an option to make it lighter?
They’re begging to be painted. It’s quite dark and dated.
If you keep it paint it, it will modernise the space and lighten it up 👍
