This couch is 10 years old and we are looking to replace. How can we get more seating? We often host 10-16 people and we currently have to use wooden chairs lined up behind the sofa for additional seating.

I would put the TV on the other wall where the picture is flip a sectional have it running the other way so it runs the entire length and then all the way over to the fireplace and then add a nice seating arrangement over in the corner between the TV and the fireplace.

Replace the sectional with a sofa and two large ottomans. That living room is not set up for conversation. You need seating that faces each other to facilitate engaging interactions. As it is, this is just a TV watching room.

    Double decker couch.

In all seriousness, I don’t think there’s a way to get more seating than you already have. I would look for a similar sized couch if you are getting a new one.

Just a side note….your home is very pretty!

The couches make it look like a bunch of gorillas are sitting there, looking up at a TV hung for the comfort of a giraffe.

A big u shaped sectional might help? Barstools at the counter as well.
