Deep garnet red in the glass.
On the nose, ripe red fruits dominate, accompanied by a subtle lift of acidity.
On the palate, the wine is dense and full-bodied, showing flavors of red berries—raspberry and cherry—alongside notes of leather and a delicate saline touch. The acidity is finely integrated, while the tannins are still quite assertive and, for my taste, slightly dominant. With time in the glass, the wine began to open up and reveal more balance and complexity.

Paired with Gennaro Contaldo’s ragu Bolognese, which proved to be a very successful match, complementing the wine’s structure and savory notes beautifully.
