Living room improvement/ decoration/ update ideas.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some suggestions/ advices to improve my living room. Here is what it looks like now. The door what you can see is the entrance and we don’t have a proper entryway for coat/shoe storage. I’m currently using the pull out bench under the tv as a shoe storage, but planning on replacing it and getting a buffet cabinet there for the same purpose. Need validation for it if it would be a good idea. And what color cabinet should look good here. Also will get rid of the standing lamps and get those wall mounted scones for either sides of the tv. But still, couldn’t figure out the coat hanging solution. Have tried those standing coat hangers (budget friendly from Amazon) but they trip and don’t last. Any other suggestions for it would be great. And any recommendations in general to make the space look pretty yet functional. Thank you in advance.
