Going to be remodeling my basement in the next couple months (drywalling the walls and ceiling, etc) , This is the transition from our garage to into the house which we use as our main entry into the home. As you can see we kind of use the chair for throwing hoodies, work bags and other stuff down. The closet can store coats but it’s too shallow so the hangars always bang up against the doors when you try to close them so it’s super annoying to use the closet. I’m thinking about maybe ripping out the closet and making a built in with hooks? I’m just worried the amount of coats we have it will just end up looking even sloppier with no doors hiding all the coats. We live in a cold area which we use outer layers 6-7 months out of the year so having a space to put our coats/jackets/hoodies is a must. Any ideas? Thank you!
