To preface, I know this probably isn’t everybody’s style, but it’ll be my last time living on my own so I wanted to be more out there with the design in the space I’m about to move into.
ChatGPT described my interior design style/inspo as “eclectic editorial contemporary”. I’ve attached some inspo screenshots for reference. I definitely love mixing patterns, materials, old/new. I’m hoping to also bring in a west-elm adjacent style, more elevated, and don’t want the space to look too juvenile.
I currently already have the couch (I love it, thrifted for $75), pink chair (FB marketplace $15!!!), rug (from target, < $100), console table (FB $20) & lamp (FB $20). I’m just really proud of my scores haha. I’m on a fairly small budget – However, I’m willing to buy a new rug if the majority thinks that it doesn’t work but would ideally like to keep what I already have.
As far as the coffee table, I really wanted one that was two tier with a clear top so that I could display coffee table books on the bottom shelf and the one I’ve chosen seemed to fit the bill for the right price (~ $150).
For the accent tables, I mainly wanted them for functional reasons (eating/working on the couch).
I’m considering staining the console table too if need be (it’s a touch more orange in real life).
I’m mainly hoping to get feedback on things like furniture pieces because I have a few decorative items I’ll add to the space that will end up tying this together a bit more (imo). I’m just a bit lazy to include them all in the mock-up. I’m thinking about dark brown (burgundy maybe??) for curtains
Would still love any feedback in general though!
