Another rug to extend entry to the yellow stool. Other side and centered on the threshold circular braided rug.

I put a blanket 4' in diameter which is size I'd go with. The attempt would be to anchor the little area with the tables, gloves/coat basket (will get better looking furniture for that). I know the stool blocks the path forward but really want to keep the area contained and functionally block people from walking in with their shoes.

The stool makes for minor containment without a very solid block. It also makes it easier for me to sit on our clean floor while I put my kids shoes on. even for me I take my shoes off and pivot off stool and to clean floor. One day we will build out a proper foyer but trying to work with what we have.

The blue mat we have is biggest size they had so going to get another 2×3 in that spot right between to the stool.

Some sort of braided rug for the circular one.

We don't have one yet but about a foot off this area will be a large area rug for our sofa and chairs.
