Who else enjoys port & Tawny port wines?

I began doing winter season Tawny port & cheese plates a few years ago & I’m never going back, it’s my favorite style of wine & cheese. A highly recommended try. This serving includes 10 & 20 year Taylor Fladgate Tawny ports along with Vacherousse d’Argental, Vintage Scottish cheddar & aged Oka cheese.

Fwiw, Vacherousse d’Argental is a Campagnier substitute (i.e., a smooth and creamy cow’s milk cheese from the Rhone-Alpes region of France). And imo, it’s the cheese star here. A personal and family / guest favorite, very highly recommended.

Side to side I can really taste the difference between the 10 & 20 year Taylor Fladgate Tawny ports, the older one being a little less sweet, more complex w/ good fruit flavors (including cherry) but more subdued along with toffee, fig & citrus notes. And a beautiful long smooth finish.

Enjoy & have a great weekend.
