Small living room (3×4 m): living + dining + kids zone — need ideas

Hi guys! Looking for advice on a small living room (approx. 3×4 m) that combines:

• living room

• dining area

• kids play zone (toddler)

Stays: sofa, dining table & chairs, TV, curtains

To add: large plant, mirror above dining table, white storage (cabinets / shelves) for a brighter, cohesive look across the home

Kids: small table + 2 chairs, bookshelf (rotating near sofa vs display shelf in kids zone?)

No playmat — child will play on a large area rug instead.

Need help with:

• zoning the space without clutter

• lighting ideas

• artwork above the sofa

• choosing the right rug (colour/size/style) to tie everything together

Goal: calm, functional, child-friendly (not a full kids room).
