Flip the oh-my-god-so-many-holes part that you’re holding. The chain should hang by/behind the oh-my-god-so-many-holes. Then hang it on your curtain rod.

Ok, turn the shower curtain hook over so that the round coin thing is next to the ring the filament is tied to. Hang using the hook. Or pull the shower curtain hook off and hang using the ring.

If it were me, I wouldn’t use that copper looking round hook thing. I’d use one of those strong, clear window suction cups with a hook on it and hang your chain/beaded/crystal sun-catcher from that.

Turn it upside down so you can hang it from a curtain rod. Rotate the crystal so it catches on the hooky thing. It will shorten it but ………
When you’ve got it turned over as others have explained, you can find other places to hang it. It can also be hung on a regular curtain rod. I think that’s the original intention rather than for the shower curtain rod.

Thanks y’all for letting me know! I got this from a renaissance faire, it’s basically a prism you hang by a window and at a certain time of day it’ll cast rainbows everywhere. Unfortunately we don’t have curtains or a rod in our apartment yet but we’ll add it to the list. I realized shortly after posting the hook it came with was upside down
