OK, I've spent the afternoon removing everything off this bookcase. It's built into the wall and it's very beautiful so it has to stay. Unfortunately, it has become a junk collector over the years where various family members will go to put things they have no other place to put.
It is now my goal to turn this bookcase into a permanent display of something… I was thinking about tracking down some beautiful old books and maybe interspersing that with some antiques. As you can see, I'm into things like old cameras and taxidermy anything old that looks cool and interesting. What I don't want to do is junk this thing up with 1000 different articles and not have a cohesive theme.
