had they just done white subway tile instead of the mosaic I think I would have loved it. The lace tile with the marble backsplash, with the vertical panels, and decorative mugs is way too much for me.

I feel like the wallpaper(?) gives it a lot of character and makes it stand out from a lot of samey-samey painted wood kitchens, but with the super busy countertop pattern it’s just too much. I tend to like maximalist design but they don’t really complement each other, IMO.
And rugs in a kitchen are the first thing I notice…
