Since buying our home in 2019, we’ve had two brown floating wood shelves on our back wall of our living room that displayed various things. They stuck out quite a bit and were beginning to slant downwards, so we took off the ledge of the two shelves but still need to remove the foundation wood pieces from the wall. Once we do that, we need some ideas for what to do with this wall and the small hidden corner area. We’ve always had the small space behind the “L” of our sofa, before we had kids it would house guitars, footstools, etc. now we use it for kids stuff. Also, the room has that small corner area that’s pushed back where we have a small storage bookcase that’s used for books and more toys. I don’t mind how it looks now but I feel like it can be updated and utilized in a more creative way. We’re open to moving around anything in the room, painting, adding texture, wood, etc to the wall. We aren’t currently looking or ready for new furniture though so we’re working with what we got. Gimme some inspo please! 😌
pictures included to show the wall in its current state, and to show the layout of our room.
