Bought the house of my parents, want to start on painting the living room but i’m not sure what i should do. Thinking about going fairly simple but a big change in color pallet could also be an option so it can feel more like “my own”. Most furniture will go (except for the desk, couch & standing lamp). The lights are going to be replaced and i’m also thinking of oiling the wooden floor. Want to paint the brick wall but concerned its going to be too much. Advice would be greatly appreciated as i’m rather clueless. Current idea: not paint the bricks, smooth out the walls and paint them white, paint the ceiling beams white, paint the small part between the two windows (in the last picture) a warm color. And keep the floor somewhat the same.
