Was able to get my hands on a few bottles of this super natty, incredibly funky, and beautiful red out of Chuquisaca, Bolivia 🇧🇴

Varietal is Negra Criolla, and this high altitude wine grows at 2,350m above sea level – insane. Just as insane – the vines grow up pink peppercorn trees. It’s an absolute spectacle.

Tinaja refers to the clay vat that’s used for a short maceration and spontaneous fermentation, then sits in stainless for about 4 months prior to bottling.
