Some context for non-Aussies:
There is a debate in Sydney/NSW at the moment on rezoning suburbs with heritage homes just like this, so they can be knocked down to build higher density apartments. Mosman isn’t one of the suburbs planned for rezoning but a lot of similarly old suburbs are. It’s a tricky debate because beautiful buildings like this one could be knocked down but we also have a very intense housing shortage at the moment, so we probably need more high density.
