What a fuckin place. amazing natural wines, most of which I haven’t seen in the US. Everything has been so tasty, especially all the wines from Alsace.

I’ve only had the Calek “A tou nous” and the Radikon prior to coming here. The rest are all new to me. the “Sabwa” from Les Ussels was maybe one of the most delicious glasses I’ve ever had. Asked for the “Osusume” which means recommendation in Japanese, and this is what he opened for me. what a guy ๐Ÿ”ฅ

if you are ever in Tokyo, run to Ahiru Store in Shibuya!! It is unreal, but get there early, only 15 seats total and queue forms quickly! I’ve been twice this week and the people are incredibly kind and love my enthusiasm for the wines, even so much as to open a beautiful magnum of Beaujolais for me to try.

Other spots were Shimokita Komorebi (Shimokitazawa) Sanita (Nishihara), and bar a parc vin (Shibuya) ! still a few more days with more spots to try but won’t be shocked if I head back to Ahiru Store a 3rd time.

also the owner of Sanita let me try this Japanese natural wine (the Kai Blanc from Votano Wine) that has been open for close to a year now (since April of 2023) and holy hell was it delicious. Super oxidized but not mousey at all after 11 months open.

end of rant but more to come
