Never thought I’d see ceilings that are *too tall*.

The whole house is beautiful, but what’s with all the vases everywhere. And all the vines on the outside makes me wonders how many spiders live in that house and those vines.

If you need a scissorlift to change your lightbulbs, your ceiling is a bit too high.
Just my opinion

Random chairs like the ones on the left are the bane of my existence – why would anyone ever sit in those spots?

The rich leave such different lives. Like it’s unfathomable the wealth disparity. Those built in shelves probably cost 50k or more. And we’re not even beginning to talk about the furniture yet.

It’s pretty, until you have to set up scaffolding to dust and remove the spider webs.

Waste of space and conspicuous consumption.

How do you get access to the stuff you are storing on those upper shelves?

Am I alone in hating this room? Valiant attempt at bringing composition to a room that’s simply too tall but in the final calculus, this should have been two floors. Maybe a loft that continues the library theme there? Right now you look up and the book shelf just … ends. Even the bookshelf is exhausted of this obscenely-proportioned room. I can imagine the interior designer letting out a big exhale, saddling up with a drink, and doing her best, poor girl (and not really succeeding). For what it’s worth, when the room is this crazy big, I’ve seen it work best where you have a gigantic custom sectional. Bringing furniture with normal proportions into a poorly proportioned room just doesn’t work. The more I stare, the more I hate. Ugh.

Pretty.
But bookshelves with zero utility function are not cool.
Those ceilings are about 5 feet too high. The top half of the wall/ceiling kinda looks like a generic exhibition hall or wedding venue.

It’s a lovely room that no one will ever use.

I’d be afraid to sneeze in here
