“Montreluc” 2018 vintage from Domaine De La Cras (Marc Soyard) in Dijon in Burgundy 🇫🇷
100% Pinot Noir from 1983 and 2001 planting site from a vineyard called “Montre Cul” near Dijon.
Fermented 70% whole bunch in carbonic maceration and spent 15 months in barrel.
The nose opens a bit wild from PN of Burgundy, but this shortly disappears.
This is followed by hints of blueberries, wild strawberry and small black fruits followed by a subtle vegetal note. Then small ink tone and sweet spice like white pepper, licorice, earthiness and musk.
An uncommitted but precise drink. Medium-bodied, light and round tannins. High acidity that engages the mouth.
Best drunk at the temperature of a rosé.
This was my favorite bottle of Soyard, to drink whole with or without food 😝
