It looks like this is an attachment to the back of a house, and not the entire house. There are stairs on the left of the end room, where do they go, in either direction? Given the furnishings I suspect there are other, more normal types of living areas and this is just an entertaining space. Depending on the climate (I can’t see the foliage clearly enough to guess) this could actually be a practical solution for a family who entertains frequently. It is closed off to the elements which means it could be heated or cooled depending on the season, which I’m guessing is what those two great big vents in the ceiling are for.
I’d be interested to see more pics of the rest of the place.
