Gorgeous, but everything is going to start smelling like smoke with a fire pit that close.

this is a great example of how to employ the use of an exposed post. they use two narrow ones which provide enough support and space to keep the corner seam exposed and in doing so, nearly blending into the background scenery
beautiful.

Wonder how many bird impacts they get.

LOVE THIS BUT
anyone else like me that would freak out at night with something like this? the minute it gets dark there better be fuckin shades and shit blocking the whole view. i always get nervous like someone can see me but i can’t see out.

Needs more art on the wall.

Is their heating bill astronomical or did they pay out the ass for incredibly well insulated windows? It always looks beautiful but as someone who lives in a poorly insulated house, this doesn’t look very fun to me 🙁
Brok3nAngel
I could happily sit there reading for hours.

Very surprised if this is real and not CGI. Not that it *couldn’t* be real (been to Orcas a few times and it’s freakin gorgeous), but the weird sparseness, the HUGE unsupported glass panels, the terrible firepit location/no outdoor furniture say otherwise. If that’s a real chair, would love to know what kind.

Looks like Cameron Fry’s house.

EDIT: I take it all back. It’s real and it’s spectacular! [Here it is with the sliding panels closed.](https://images.adsttc.com/media/images/53b5/fb6b/c07a/8005/ce00/0169/slideshow/ER10.jpg?1404435280)
And the Womb Chairs are *only* ~$2000 – I’ll take 6!
I wonder how much it would cost to have windows like that installed in a home.
Orcas Island is fucking beautiful
It’s very beautiful, I’d enjoy having coffee or lunch in that room, but I’d feel so cold and exposed living there.
I like the view, but what’s with the furniture (or lack of it)?
Love everything about this. What an amazing place to have a house like this too. That island is magic.
I love that the dog is in so many of the photos. <3 Goodest boy or girl!
The view is great, the room itself sucks ass.
The womb chair!
Looks like a modern version of the house in Ozark.
PNW? Definitely PNW
Wow. This is incredible. Wish i could stay here although the lack of window coverings would make me really uncomfortable at night.
Beautiful room but IMHO not a fan of the decor.
It’s like the inside of the room somehow feels colder than the outdoors.
