In May we finished a long planned kitchen remodel in our 1939 brick home. It included removing structural walls, replacing it with a steel beam. Removing a window unit A/C and glass blocks, and replacing with decorative exterior bricks. It was a pretty massive project. I did most of the planning myself, the cabinet maker took what I envisioned and frankly nailed it.

Thermador 30 inch Fridge Thermador 18 inch Freezer Thermador Pull Out Hood Thermador Sapphire Dishwasher. Grohe Blue Professional Sparkling and Chilled water dispenser Franke instant hot water / filtered water dispenser. Create Good Sinks 39” Apron Front sink with inserts.
The table was mine from when I was a child, badly damaged by a puppy. I repaired it and refinished it myself. Painting the base to match the cabinets, to cover significant damage repairs.
Sorry for having to delete and repost I accidentally posted the pictures before the cabinet pulls were installed.
The original thread several questions were asked.
Why two faucets on the main sink? Three reasons, first the Grohe Blue Seltzer faucet does not have a “shower” spray mode. It is only a traditional faucet as well as the seltzer and chilled water, this is not ideal for dishes. Two, its a large sink so having the added flexibility of a second faucet seamed nice. Lastly, my wife and I cook together a lot, having a second “station” at the sink was something we thought we would use. As it turns out, this is our favorite feature in the kitchen. I highly recommend it.
The second question was about the inserts in the sink. They are also by Create Good Sinks, and designed to sit on that ledge inside of the sink. Its called a workstation sink. It is fantastic for food prep. I have several cutting boards, and straining baskets that fit into it nicely.

Why so many ovens and sinks, do you keep kosher?

The old cabinets with the hardware look like metal file cabinets. Everything seems to make sense as to why beside the ovens. Why not a larger oven instead of three, you know a large vulcan, then possible opening up the island to be free from heat, with kids running around possible a dog seems like a lot of things to keep an eye on.

It’s lovely, so much room for activities ha! But omg those old cabinets 😍 I hope you sold or otherwise saved them? They’re worth a pretty penny!

If that’s not a 100k kitchen I don’t know what is.
Great job!

As someone who’s currently restoring a home pre 1920, I truly appreciate what you may have gone through to achieve this. It’s beautiful. Congratulations.

I am probably going to change the white outlets for grey decorator outlets or something.
Perhaps the legrand adorne for the uncommonly used ones. The coffee and toaster island I will likely just put a regular decorator outlet that matches.
This fell off the radar in the rush to finish before lockdowns.

I love this! Especially the floors. Is it like a ceramic tile?

May I please get the details on the backsplash tile material?

Beautiful kitchen! My wife and I are looking to remodel our kitchen and love what you have done. I’m not sure if this has already been asked/answered but what color did you use for the cabinets? It looks white in some pictures and a light grey in others. Nice job!

Is there room for a second island? I’m a fan of that.
