Performative design to signal stranding/wealth to other members of the local in-group. Utah is a silly place.

What is it with rich people and their white? I clean for a living and they all love white sheets and accessories. I mean awesome for me cause I can get a stain out but damn buy a pattern every once again!

It’s like farm house chic meets Harry Potter’s school of wizardry.

As someone who has lived in Mormon area, this is common for houses to have many sleeping areas as there’s lots of fucking kids in Mormon families.

If you’re ever in a conversation with your interior designer about what style of ladders to have in your mega bunk/sleep over room, please request that the steps on the ladder be flat and not round, like shown in the picture.
Round steps on ladders are wildly painful to step on versus flat top ones.

I was wondering why they’d need 4 beds in a clearly large house, but then it said Utah at the end

Sad beige children in their sad beige bedroom.

Why is there a giant adult sized table taking up on the play space in the floor?

*Whole* lotta fuckin in Utah

It looks cool, but the ladder steps should be flat and ideally have some railing support. Also not sure why there’s a dining set in the middle…it seems like lounge furniture would be better. I personally am tired of these super-beige looks and I wish there were more color!

As a parent, there is nothing in the world that can convince me that real children live in this room.

I love these Utah decorating shows, so this is a bunk room. It isn’t the kids’ bedrooms, it’s for when their family comes over to stay and all the cousins can sleep in this room. It’s more of a playroom. In these rich families all 5 of the kids have their own massive bedrooms.

This reminds me of CabINN, a hotel in Copenhagen whose small rooms utilize all the vertical space with bunk beds. Our kids loved it.

Sucks for whoever has to make all these beds

TIL Utah has a lot of kids

I love the bed sizes, individual lights and cubbies. Because this doesn’t actually say it’s a full time home or a holiday home or something like an Airbnb, something in a family oriented hotel, I’m just going to say that if it was in my full time home it would be something that my four person household would enjoy. My two children would use all beds a couple times a week. This setup, even in mini form is something to consider. Beautiful

Too white/light, no way with 4 kids in one room.

Making those upper beds would be a nightmare.

“Kids room” plz… MY adult room lol
My mind immediately thought ‘holiday home’ but realised in Utah… prob just a normal home for an average sized family lollll

For those wondering, a lot of wealthy grandparents build a room like this for their grandkids when the entire family gets together for the holidays etc.
Many times this isn’t a permanent setup for kids to each sleep in every night. It’s a fun space for cousins to get together whenever possible.
They build one or two dedicated rooms for their grandkids and use the other 5 bedrooms for other rich people Shit

Looks so clean minimalist scandi, yet a fun hanging space for huge group of Kids.
It’s like Apple design for the Goonies.
How pragmatic for daily use I dunno. But definitely a fun vacay hangout.

Oh Utah. Nuff said

Would anyone have something like this for 2 children? I feel like you could fit 8 children in here but if you just had 2 children who liked to have friends over wouldn’t it be nice to have this instead of blow up mattresses?

I love the way it looks but making the bed on those top bunks would be an athletic feat.

This room is too white to be a kids room, kids are stain factories. What’s up with adults showcasing their aesthetic that’s clearly a mistake with kids.

That looks nice for the parents.
Changing those bedsheets must be a nightmare.
Bad idea to have white in a kids room lol
