Finally, they open outdoors in Cologne and this bottle is our kind of “fast-breaking”.
This Silvaner is coming from one of the sleep-slopes of Franken, Germany. Franken is even in Germany, an underrated wine-region. “Kraemer” works ecological and this bottle is no exception.
This orange wine is 100% “Silvaner” (Grüner Silvaner) and shows a lot of substance. It´s got an intense and brilliant color.
And here we go… Some gas bubbles! Tingling sustainably on the tongue, super energic.
On the nose, it is youthfull and at the same time warm (yes, 2018 was a hot year) on the palate. It has indeed a bit more res. sugar, compared to the old vintages (2016, 2017) but still, a dry wine (RS <3 g and for the record, the GGs can have 8 gr in Germany!)
The wine is herbaceous as a Silvaner should be! Needle and sagetea and lots of fresh garden herbs… Gooseberries are also recognasible.
The wine is extremly juicy without being an ”unserious” glou-glou wine.
