Whoa … super allocated Rosato from Calabria made in the traditional Georgia Qvevri style.. Menat has no website, social media… hell I’m not sure if they even have a phone number or how they were found. Beautiful rusty pale red in color. Bursting with red fruit: red cherry strawberry red currant (cassis) herbaceous: tomato leaf, dried oregano, even cardamom and white pepper. Light inching towards medium body. Acidity is present but surprisingly subtle. Pretty incredible stuff.. perhaps steep at $60 retail and I’m sure that’s due to allocation.

Beautiful color on this wine, the use of Qvevri like with COS in areas that don’t seem to typically use this method of fermentation/aging just excites me in the world of natural wine. You’ve gone through a good amount of that bottle my friend, a good gift it seems!
