OP here. I live in Mexico and the standards are not the same. Where should I make sure I invest wisely here? I want to have the kitchen last 20 years used 5 or 6 times a day.
Specifically asking about material, sizes, etc. I trust the carpentier but maybe just different standards.

If you’re having black accents and a thick chunky island don’t have the routing profile on your cupboards. Have them flat. You’re combing two very different styles and it doesn’t gel very well.
