**From the winemaker**: “We hand-picked Mataro (aka Mourvèdre) from the steep limestone and schist slopes of Rorick Heritage Vineyard on the morning of September 9th, 2018. With the intention of coaxing out all of the texture, color and aromatics possible from that gorgeous fruit, we vigorously foot-tread the whole clusters and left to soak overnight before pressing. A love for barrel-aged and over-vintaged rosé inspired us to let this beauty develop in barrel for over 16 months before bottling and aged for another 16 months in bottle before release.”
**My tasting notes**: Loved it – drinks like a light chillable red. Flavors and aromas of macerated strawberries, baked rhubarb and savory spices. Medium bodied and structured. Fruit is still singing and acidity is going strong after a couple years. Delicious!
**Bonus**: Proceeds from every bottle sold will be donated to [Al Otro Lado](https://alotrolado.org/), a bi-national nonprofit providing direct legal services to indigent deportees, migrants, and refugees in Tijuana, Mexico.
