A bit of a blind faith sort of purchase, primarily looking for an acid driven white I could sink my teeth into. Wine Therapy selections usually hold up well so why not?
**The Electric Chardonnay Acid Test, Brand:** 90% Chardonnay, 10% Riesling, organically farmed, young-vine Chardonnay from the Pfalz region of Germany blended with Riesling to “turbo-charge” the wine. Purchased from Wine Therapy in Manhattan.
A punchy nose full of crunchy apples and pear slices, white flora and morning dew yet it doesn’t feel truly electric and explosive, I would use words more akin to elegant and evocative. Flavors wise, white grapefruit pith, more apples and pears but in a juice form. It is tart but not electric per se (it drinks with more kinetic energy with a more substantial chill which I learned on Day 2), medium acid and a more fleshed out body that maintains my interest in the wine as it doesn’t truly compel me as I was hoping it would.

An inoffensive, tart and fun wine that does well for its price point. Not very complex nor is it really glou glou either. It’s floral, orchard fruity and alive for sure though, it just won’t “shock” you with much acid though if you do get a bottle to drink, drink with more than a light chill. It is an affordable Summer ready wine if you just need something to bring to the function.
