Our slide in rangetop is 8.5” tall but this base cabinet cut out is 11” tall – how would one adjust to keep the rangetop flush with or higher than the counter tops when installed?

    Does it sit on the countertop or just beside them? You’d probably just have to bump it up so it’s at the right height then use a filler strip painted the same as the cabinet to fill the gap

    When you order cabinets they often have filler pieces. For example, a wall width is 74”, but your two 36” cabinets total only 72”. The remaining 2” gap is filled with a paint matched filler piece, it’s pretty standard in cabinetry. Just get a filler piece and cut it accordingly.

    Yes for sure, just add trim and crown ask around the top of cabinets
